Things in life are never a coincidence-GOD EXISITS!! We move from England (UK) to Belize, Central America

Living in an upstairs appartment 30 minutes from central London, one year out of University, married only 3 months (we were married in July,2004 ), we awake one morning, open our Bibles and hear God saying one word ¨Canada¨ , yes Lord we say we know you have already given us a million pointers about this place thousands of miles away before, infact you started this about a year ago before we had even finished schooling..so taking this as a literal calling from the one above we begin looking into every which way we could to be able to go and serve him there..and things started to progress and move pretty swiftly..after going to an immigration conference on how to go about things all was left pretty much was deciding a date, getting the papers and booking a flight.....................however a few months later (to us this seemed quite bizarre) because of course our ways are not his ways, God says ¨not Canada..go to Belize¨. WHAT? HOW? WHEN? WHERE IS BELIZE? We realised that to go to Canada would have been lovely for us but God had not been preparing our lives and experiences up untill then for this..we definitely felt called to develoing nations..so after looking in an atlas and much internet researching Belize made alot more sense.

We began to make preparations to go abroad to the third world. We had always felt a calling to emmigrate from the UK to other countries, for a long term mission, and quite possibly for the long-term and even permanently if the Lord so desired. Since our wedding in 2004, we had lived for a year in London until 2005. However we didnt have the neccesary finance to be able to make a big move abroad to the third world. Therefore, we took the hard but neccesary decision to sacrifice our own living space, give up the jobs we had in london and our own accomodation, and move to live with Daniels parents in Maidstone,Kent. Not an easy decision for us as a married couple who ideally would like our own space, but the genuine love of God often requires sacrifices. In the case of Jesus Christ it cost him his very life and his blood poured out on a cruel tree for you and for me, we owe our very existence and lives to him, so to us wherever God leads we are prepared to go. We both got new jobs whilst based at Daniels parents place, and lived there for over a year from 2005 into 2006, saving up the neccesary funds to move abroad to serve the Lord full time. In 2006, the final steps of selling numerous possetions and our car were finalised, we said goodbye to these material things in order to gain the finance to make our goal for the Lord and reality in moving out to the third world.Later in July 2006 we therefore made the big move..bye bye UK..Hello Belize!! Woah did we get a surprise when we arrived..we knew Belize was hot..VERY hot..in the jungle..infact its part of the Caribbean..so the last thing we would have expected was a community of people all from CANADA!! Now it made sense why God had planted this in our hearts before we came..we had an understanding and love for the cmmunity of Canadian people out in Belize God called us to work among..he is so amazing!! Above Rhoda is pictures outside our house we were given to live in, in Blue Creek, Belize. The signpost is of the main community store. To get to Belize we travelled via Mexico as you can see from below we stopped in to say 'Buenas Tardes' (Good afternoon!). Well let the God/mission/emmigration adventure begin...
